I am delighted to introduce our Summer School for 2025 here at Walker Riverside Academy.
A programme of activities and enrichment will run daily. Your child will have a choice of activities including sports, arts and crafts, cookery and outdoor pursuits; allowing them to immerse themselves in fun, become familiar with the school staff and the building and to develop new friendships ready for starting secondary school.
You must select all 4 days for your child to attend and we expect that they attend every day to be allocated a place.
Your child does not need to wear their school uniform but should instead wear clothing suitable for physical and craft activities. Lunch and healthy snacks will be provided and water will be available throughout the day too.
We expect positive behaviour from all children during Summer School. We would encourage all those attending to get involved and engage in as much as possible to make the most of this experience and as a result mobile phones should not be seen or used, as we will expect when they begin Year 7 in September.
